The installation process itself also requires more effort, which leads to the installer charging a higher fee for double storey installations.
It’s important to note that if there is an alternative way to easily access the rooftop using a simple ladder, the need for a scissor lift and the associated $600 cost can be avoided. However, even in such cases, the installer may still charge extra for double storey installations due to the increased complexity and effort involved.
Single phase meters
Single-phase meters are suitable for residential and small commercial applications where the electrical load is typically distributed across a single phase.
If the solar installation is smaller in scale and the power generation capacity is within the limits of a single-phase meter, opting for a single-phase meter can be cost effective.
Three phase meters
Three-phase meters are better suited for larger-scale solar installations with higher power generation capacity. If the solar system is expected to generate a significant amount of power that exceeds the capacity of a single-phase meter, a three-phase meter becomes necessary.
